7 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO IN FRONT OF OTHERS
There are some things you should learn to keep private.
Not everyone who smiles with you is happy for you. Not everyone who listens to you has good intentions toward you. Wisdom is knowing what to say, when to say it, and what to keep to yourself.
1. NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR LIFE TO EVERYONE
When you constantly complain about your problems, some people may pity you today and discuss your situation tomorrow.
Not everyone needs to know your struggles.
Learn to pray about some battles instead of announcing them to everyone. There are people who will genuinely help you, but there are also people who will use your weakness against you.
2. NEVER ARGUE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES IN PUBLIC
Disagreements happen in every relationship, but learn to handle them privately.
When you argue with your spouse, family member, or loved one in front of strangers, people may forget your good moments but remember the embarrassing things they heard during your argument.
Protect the dignity of those you love.
Not every disagreement needs an audience.
3. NEVER BRAG ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN IN FRONT OF SOMEONE WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH CHILDLESSNESS
Learn to celebrate your blessings with wisdom and sensitivity.
You may be excited about your children, and there is nothing wrong with being grateful for them. But be sensitive when speaking around someone who is struggling with childlessness.
What is a testimony to you may be a painful reminder to someone else.
Be grateful, but also be compassionate.
4. NEVER MAKE PEOPLE FEEL THAT THEY HAVE COMPLETE POWER OVER YOU
Respect people, honor people, and appreciate those who have helped you.
But never become so dependent on someone that they begin to believe they can control your life.
People can change.
The person helping you today may be the same person who tries to use your dependence against you tomorrow.
Be humble, but also maintain your dignity and boundaries.
5. NEVER SPEAK EVIL ABOUT OTHERS
Be careful with your words.
The person you are gossiping about today may not be there to defend themselves, but one day, your words may find their way back to you.
Before you speak about someone, ask yourself:
“Would I say this if they were standing right here?”
If the answer is no, perhaps you should not say it at all.
6. NEVER ALLOW STRANGERS TOO CLOSE TOO QUICKLY
Be kind to people, but don’t give everyone immediate access to your life.
Not everyone who comes close to you has good intentions.
Some people come to learn your weaknesses.
Some come to study your life.
Some come because they genuinely care.
Wisdom is learning the difference.
Trust should be earned, not automatically given.
7. NEVER COUNT YOUR MONEY OR BRAG ABOUT YOUR WEALTH IN FRONT OF EVERYONE
You don’t have to announce everything you have.
Not everyone needs to know how much money is in your account, how much you earn, or what you own.
Be grateful for your blessings, but learn to carry them with humility and wisdom.
The more you expose, the more people may know about you.
Sometimes, silence is protection.
HEAR THIS.
You don’t have to tell everyone everything!!!
Some things are better kept between you and God.
Your struggles.
Your family matters.
Your finances.
Your plans.
Your private battles.
Your personal relationships.
Learn to be friendly without being careless.
Learn to be open without exposing everything.
Learn to trust without becoming vulnerable to everyone.
And remember:
Not every person deserves access to your private life.
Wisdom is not hiding because you are afraid of people.
Wisdom is knowing that privacy, boundaries, and discernment can protect your peace.
“Be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
