Be Careful What You Declare

Ricky  /  September 6, 2026

🔥 YOUR MOUTH CAN BECOME A COURTROOM: BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DECLARE

Words are not empty sounds.

What you repeatedly speak can shape your thoughts, influence your actions, and affect the way you approach the future God has placed before you.

The Bible says:

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18:21

This means your mouth must not become a place where you constantly prophesy defeat over your own life.

Some people pray for breakthrough but speak failure.

They ask God for healing but continually declare, “Nothing will ever change.”

They pray for a better future but constantly speak hopelessness.

They ask for divine direction but repeatedly confess that their life has no purpose.

🔥 HERE IS THE DEEPER REVELATION:

YOU MUST  learn to distinguish between acknowledging a difficult reality and establishing a negative prophecy over your life.

Faith does not mean pretending problems do not exist.

Faith means refusing to allow the problem to have the final word.

David faced Goliath, but he did not allow Goliath’s size to determine his confession.

He declared:

“The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” — 1 Samuel 17:37

David remembered what God had done before and allowed that testimony to shape his expectation of what God could do again.

🔥 WATCH YOUR WORDS.

When you continually speak defeat, you can condition your mind to expect defeat.

When you continually speak fear, you can strengthen fear’s influence over your decisions.

But when your words are brought under the authority of God’s Word, your confession begins to agree with what God has said rather than what circumstances are saying.

Proverbs 12:18 says:

“The tongue of the wise promotes health.”

Therefore, don’t use your mouth to destroy what you are asking God to build.

Don’t turn your own tongue into a courtroom where you become the prosecutor, the witness, and the one who pronounces the sentence!

🔥 THE FINAL WORD

Before you speak, ask yourself:

Is this what God has said?

Is this producing faith or feeding fear?

Am I describing my temporary situation, or am I surrendering my future to it?

Let your mouth become an instrument of faith, wisdom, encouragement, prayer, and truth.

Your circumstances may speak loudly.

But they do not have to speak last.

Let God’s Word have the final word over your life. 🔥
