CHAINS BROKEN: What Christ Sets Free Does Not Have to Stay Bound‼️

Some chains are easy to see.

Others make no sound at all.

Fear.

Shame.

Anger.

Regret.

A habit you cannot seem to escape.

A wound from years ago that still decides how you live today.

Sometimes the prison has no walls.

It simply follows us around inside our own hearts.

But Jesus did not come to teach you how to live comfortably in chains.

He came to set you free.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

— John 8:36 KJV

Maybe you have carried something for so long that you have started calling it part of who you are.

“I’m just like this.”

“I’ll never change.”

“This is my life now.”

Be careful.

A chain worn long enough can begin to feel like an identity.

But Christ sees the person beneath it.

Peter was more than his denial.

Paul was more than his past.

Mary Magdalene was more than the darkness from which Christ delivered her.

And you are more than the worst chapter of your story.

The Cross changed everything.

Jesus carried sin to Calvary so sin would no longer have the final claim over those who belong to Him.

Freedom does not mean temptation never returns.

It means temptation is no longer your master.

Freedom does not mean the past disappears.

It means the past no longer gets to write your future.

And freedom does not mean you never stumble again.

It means when you fall, you know Who to reach for.

Sometimes we ask Jesus to break our chains while still keeping a spare key in our pocket. 😄

Real surrender means letting Him have that too.

So name the chain.

Bring it into prayer.

Confess what needs confessing.

Forgive what needs forgiving.

Seek help where help is needed.

Remove what keeps dragging you backwards.

And when yesterday whispers, “You belong to me,” remember what Jesus declared:

You are free indeed.

The chain may still lie on the ground behind you.

But you don’t have to pick it up again.

Walk forward.

Christ is already there.

“When Jesus breaks the chain, faith means refusing to keep living as though it is still locked.”

Believe Anyway. Beyond Doubt.
