The definition of anxiety is the overwhelming feeling that I’m not in control. Now, here’s reality. We’re NOT in control of 99% of what happens in life. We’re not. Think about it. We are living on a big ball of dirt called Earth, spinning in a universe, going millions of miles per hour. And none of us control that. By the way, none of us got up and worried about that this morning. “Oh Lord, what if the Earth stopped spinning.”
We would evaporate. So you wouldn’t have to even worry about it. But that’s anxiety, the overwhelming feeling that I’m not in control. And if we let this feeling continue to overwhelm us by not dealing with it in the right way, we’ll deal with it by abusing alcohol, or abusing drugs, or abusing food. Anxiety, if not dealt with, it leads to depression. And depression is a darkness that consumes our minds and feels like it will never go away. That’s why if someone says they’re depressed, I tell them, “okay, tell me how you’re feeling.”
Depression is when you know that there is a better future out there for you, but you actually believe there’s no way that you could ever have it. Somebody that’s depressed feels unknown, unseen, unloved, and unheard. And if not dealt with, that can lead to,” why in the world should I even want to live anymore?” And I’ve been there. I totally understand that dark place.
Here’s the truth. There is a God that truly loves you so much that you’re NOT reading this by accident. You’re reading this by providence because He brought you into this blog to let you know He’s NOT DONE with you yet. He’s still got a plan.
As I said, I’ve walked in it. I know what it’s like to get your butt kicked by the devil day after day, month after month, year after year. But I can tell you, I don’t care who you are or what you’ve done, In Christ, YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN walk/live in victory. It is possible because of the Name, the Name of Jesus! If you’re ready to surrender your life totally to Him, know that someone is here that would love to pray and talk with you. Someone you can share your story with. Someone who will, without judgment, listen to your story. Someone with compassion and love. Feel free to reach out to us. We’re here FOR YOU!
