Proverbs 9:10-12
“Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in
good judgment. Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life. If you
become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one
to suffer.”
~~It is impossible to simultaneously fear God and fear man while walking in obedience
towards what He has called you to do…..
~~Your fear of disappointing others with Biblical boundaries, Holy Spirit conviction, and
A life of consecration can never be greater than your fear of disobeying God because
You’re afraid of being misunderstood, misquoted, or misinterpreted.
Eventually, you will have to decide if your allegiance is to a person, organization, or
denomination or if your loyalty is to God. He tells us to choose this day whom we
will serve, and we cannot have two masters.
~~Your fear of failure or not being good enough to lead, serve, preach, teach, sing,
play your instrument because one person didn’t affirm or promote you will become
Satan’s greatest weapon against you. You’ll question every word, note, lyric, opportunity
and second-guess every yes or overthink every “no” or “not yet.”
What you’ll miss is how God is strategically removing you from situations that will
bring you harm, and leaders who will mismanage you, protecting you from seasons you
aren’t prepared for and places you aren’t meant to be.
Fear of man makes us suspicious. Fear of the Lord teaches us discernment.
~~Your fear of becoming irrelevant will have you chasing followers and influence,
compromising your message for likes and selling your anointing to the highest bidder.
You’ll pursue platforms for popularity and tables that serve more as props than a
prophetic seat prepared just for you, and risk choking on the plastic fruit placed
strategically in a bowl just for looks.
Fear of the Lord brings holy responsibility to check the soil where we throw our
seed, scour rooms for counterfeit community before we pull up a chair and carefully
Select who goes with us into battle.
~~Your fear of being replaced, reassigned, aging out, or forced out, will make you
desperate to hold on to things God is trying to pry from your cold, dead hands. Fear
of a Pastor releasing you, someone younger taking your spot, or a friend betraying you,
or losing what you feel you’ve worked hard to earn, will make you competitive and
performative, hoarding every opportunity and never generous with what you’ve been
given.
Fear of the Lord reminds us that we own nothing; everything we have is from Him, and
He is the one who promotes and sits down kings. We choose humility as the way
forward, serving others, our greatest ministry, and discipleship becomes a vital part of
our Kingdom legacy.
~~You get to choose~~
Will you fear people and become paranoid about everything you have being taken,
or fear God and walk in the prophetic call on your life that cannot be stolen or revoked?
Choose wisely!!!
