Never Confuse Impossible With Unreachable!

Ricky  /  August 14, 2026

Sometimes the miracle is not about something enormous‼️

Sometimes it is about an axe head at the bottom of a river‼️

A group of prophets was building a larger place to live. While one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axe head flew off the handle and disappeared into the water.

His reaction tells us why this mattered.

“Alas, master! for it was borrowed.”

2 Kings 6:5

He had lost something that did not even belong to him.

Then Elisha asked one simple question:

“Where fell it?”

The man showed him the place.

Elisha cut down a stick, threw it into the water, and Scripture says something that should make us stop:

“and the iron did swim.”

2 Kings 6:6

Iron does not float.

Everybody standing there knew that.

God knew that.

And that is precisely why this little story has survived for thousands of years.

We often talk as though God should only be concerned with the enormous things.

Cancer.

Death.

War.

Deliverance.

Salvation.

Things worthy of a miracle.

But tucked quietly into Scripture is a man worried about somebody else’s axe.

And God cared.

I think some of us have accidentally created a version of God who is too important to care about the small things that hurt us.

So we pray about the catastrophe but remain silent about the thing that seems insignificant.

We tell ourselves, “Other people have bigger problems.”

Maybe they do.

But that has never made yours invisible to God.

Jesus later said that not even a sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father’s knowledge, and that the very hairs of our heads are numbered.

God is not overwhelmed by the number of people calling His name.

You are not taking attention away from somebody with a bigger problem when you bring Him yours.

And notice what Elisha asked:

“Where fell it?”

There was a specific place where something was lost.

Sometimes healing begins when we stop speaking vaguely about what hurts and finally take God back to where it fell.

Where did you lose your trust?

Where did you lose your peace?

Where did bitterness enter?

Where did you stop believing?

Where did you start becoming someone you never intended to become?

Show Him the place.

Not because every loss will be returned exactly as we want it.

Scripture never promises that.

But because there is no depth beyond His reach and no concern too small for His attention.

That axe head should have stayed on the bottom.

Instead, God made iron swim.

Never confuse impossible with unreachable‼️

They are not the same thing when God is involved.
