Protect  Your  Anointing!

Ricky  /  August 4, 2025

There’s a difference between being anointed and walking in the anointing.

Being anointed is God’s decision— He chose you, set you apart, and marked you with a purpose.

The anointing is the power and presence of God flowing through your life to fulfill that purpose. But the oil can be blocked. It can be quenched. It can leak.

So what do we need to know when it comes to protecting our anointing?

#1:  Being anointed is who you are—set apart by God. The anointing is what flows through you—empowered by God to impact others.

#2:  When you fail to protect your anointing, your gift may still function, but your character will start to leak.

#3:  Unconfessed sin and unfiltered relationships will always suffocate the oil.

#4:  The anointing isn’t just for your work—it’s for your walk. It should show up in how you parent, in how you lead, in how you love, and in how you live!

#5:  What you allow near your oil, will eventually get in it. Discernment isn’t optional, it’s protective!

#6:  Delilah didn’t just cut Samson’s hair—she cut his guard. He lost strength when he treated his anointing like it was common.

#7:  David was still anointed even after he fell, but the cost of carelessness echoed for generations.

#8:  Your anointing may open doors, but only your character will keep them open.

#9:  The anointing isn’t a feeling—it’s a function. If you’re waiting to feel it, you might miss your moment to walk in it.

#10:  The enemy isn’t always after your success, he’s after your oil. Guard it. Steward it. Live from it.

#11:  When you play with what God called you to protect, you give access to what should have been guarded. Protect the Oil!

Many of us protect our brands more than our oil. We guard our influence more than we guard our intimacy with God. And it shows—in our homes, our habits, our holiness. The anointing is not just for a pulpit, it’s for parenting, partnering, purpose, and provision.

If you’re not stewarding it. If you’re not protecting it, you’re leaking it! Before you declare how anointed you are, stop and take inventory!
