RUN TOWARD THE GIANT
​Goliath stepped into the valley with everything human strength could offer:

​A massive sword

​A heavy spear

​A iron shield

​Bronze armor

​Decades of battle experience

​David stepped down with none of Saul’s armor. He brought something physical weapons could never break: The Name of the LORD of Hosts.

​”Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts…”
— 1 Samuel 17:45

​David’s boldness wasn’t arrogance; it was spiritual alignment. He understood that earthly battles are decided in heavenly realms.

​”The battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.”
— 1 Samuel 17:47

​Look at David’s reaction when the giant moved in:

​”David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.”
— 1 Samuel 17:48

​Fear retreats, but faith charges forward. David didn’t run because he trusted his sling; he ran because he trusted his Backup. God used the sling, but the victory belonged to Him before the stone ever left David’s hand.

​It is true that God gives the victory, but biblical faith is never passive. David rejected Saul’s armor, yet he still picked up five smooth stones and stepped onto the field. God uses our obedience to release His power.

​He is your defender: “If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31

​He is your presence: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — Hebrews 13:5

​He is your majority: “They that be with us are more than they that be with them.” — 2 Kings 6:16

​He equips your hands: “Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.” — Psalm 144:1

​When a giant stands in front of you, stop measuring the obstacle against your own capacity. Measure it against the Sovereign God who backs you.
​Know who walks with you. Trust His power. And when the Holy Spirit says move—RUN TOWARD THE GIANT‼️
