The message in this quote is not just a suggestion—it is a command pattern seen all throughout Scripture: when it comes to lust and temptation, God does not tell you to fight it… He tells you to flee.
Look at the life of Joseph in Genesis 39. When temptation came through Potiphar’s wife, Joseph did not stand there trying to “rebuke” lust or reason with it. The Bible says:
“And it came to pass… she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.” (Genesis 39:12, KJV)
He ran. He left everything behind—even his reputation, even his garment—because he understood something many people today ignore:
Some battles are won by running, not resisting in place.
The Word of God confirms this again in 1 Corinthians 6:18:
“Flee fornication…”
Not manage it.
Not negotiate with it.
Not pray while staying in it.
Flee it.
Why? Because lust is not a small temptation—it is a consuming fire that destroys souls, homes, and destinies. Samson played with it and lost his strength. David lingered and fell into sin. But Joseph ran—and kept his integrity.
Child of God, hear this clearly:
Temptation will talk.
It will look appealing.
It will feel urgent.
But sin always hides a hook behind the bait.
That is why your victory is not in how strong you are—
your victory is in how fast you obey God and get out.
Jesus said:
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…” (Matthew 26:41, KJV)
Notice—He didn’t say “stand in it and prove your strength.”
He said don’t enter it.
So when that message comes…
When that image appears…
When that person draws you in…
RUN‼️
Run from the conversation.
Run from the place.
Run from the habit.
Because every step away from sin is a step closer to God.
Joseph ran from lust—and ended up in purpose.
If you run today, you’re not losing…
you’re preserving your soul. 🔥
Amen
