Real growth isn’t loud. It isn’t always easy. And it definitely isn’t comfortable.
Sometimes growth looks like choosing obedience over comfort, humility over
pride, patience over reaction. It looks like surrender instead of control, faith
instead of fear, and forgiveness instead of resentment.
It’s in the quiet choices.
The unseen discipline.
The daily surrender.
So, what does Spiritual Growth look like?
#1~~~FACING WHAT YOU’VE BEEN AVOIDING!
Not praying it away, but letting God deal with it when you fully surrender it to Him.
Realize that what you don’t confront will continue!
#2~~~CHOOSING SILENCE!
Not because you’re weak. But because wisdom tells you when to wait. You don’t
always have to have the last word. The book of James tells us to “…be slow to speak
and quick to hear.” ( James 1:19)
#3~~~APOLOGIZE FIRST!
Even when you feel justified, because humility matters more than being right! The
words, “I’m sorry,” are extremely powerful!
#4~~~LETTING GOD RENEW YOUR MIND!
Challenging the thoughts you’ve always lived by. Renewing your mind is a daily
process that we will have to do until Jesus comes.
#5~~~LOVING THEM ANYWAY!
When forgiveness feels unfair, and obedience feels costly.
#6~~~DISCIPLINE!
Showing up in prayer. Staying in the Word and obedience- especially when you
don’t feel like it. (Especially when you don’t feel like it!)
#7~~~TRUSTING THAT GOD’S WAY IS BETTER!
Even when His plan costs you comfort or control.
#8~~~CHOOSING GRATITUDE!
Not because life is easy, but because God is still good. Even when it’s hard to
see. (Especially when it’s hard to see!)
#9~~~LETTING GO OF EXCUSES!
And taking responsibility for the growth God is calling you into.
~~~God is shaping your heart, stretching your faith, strengthening your spirit.
Even when it feels uncomfortable, even when it feels slow, even when it feels
unseen—He is still working!
Remember:
It’s in the quiet choices.
The unseen discipline.
The daily sacrifice.
Not perfect, not polished, not painless—but faithful, willing, and obedient!
