Let’s be honest. You can’t live a life on fire for God with a lukewarm prayer life. If you’ve been feeling spiritually dry, disconnected, or distracted, this is a call for you to get back in alignment.
First, let’s define what it means to be lukewarm.
Lukewarm= spiritually indifferent, casual in devotion, and comfortable in compromise. ” Because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. ” (Rev.3:16) You’re not just in danger of stagnation, you’re at risk of separation.
*** The Dangers Of Being Lukewarm.
#1: You stop recognizing conviction.
#2: You normalize disobedience.
#3: You settle for comfort over consecration.
#4: You become susceptible to deception.
#5: You lose spiritual hunger and sensitivity.
Lukewarm living leads to lukewarm hearing and eventually silence from heaven.
*** Step 1——REPENT
Go back to God with a heart posture of complete surrender. Admit the areas where you’ve grown cold. ( 1John 1:9) Revival begins with repentance.
*** Step 2——REKINDLE THE ALTAR
Rebuild your personal altar. That means:
*Prayer is no longer optional
*Worship isn’t reserved for Sunday’s
*The Word becomes your food
*Your altar is where your fire will live again
*** Step 3——REMOVE THE DISTRACTIONS
The fire of God can’t fall where idols stand. If it’s pulling you from God, it’s draining your fire. Unfollow. Unplug. Unsubscribe. Do what ever you have to. Holiness is still the standard.
*** Step 4——RECONNECT TO COMMUNITY
Isolation fuels inconsistency. Stay around believers who are burning with a passion for God and the things of God. ( Pro.27:17 ) Find other believers, ones who are ’ fire-starters ’ and keep each other lit.
*** Step 5——REMAIN CONSISTENT
Don’t chase the feeling—-build the discipline. Fire doesn’t stay lit without fuel. Set a rhythm of prayer, fasting, and time in God’s Word. Stay submitted. Stay yielded.
