The Great Awakening Pt 1

Ricky  /  October 24, 2026

THE GREAT AWAKENING: Never Allow Someone Else’s Bitterness To Become Your Personal Sin.

Some people will sit beside you, cry on your shoulders, tell you their version of a story, and slowly poison your heart against someone who has never wronged you.

Before you realize it, you are despising someone you barely know, destroying a relationship you never gave a chance, and fighting a war whose origins you do not understand.

WAKE UP! YOU MAY BE HATING SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER HARMED YOU SIMPLY BECAUSE SOMEONE YOU TRUST NEEDS YOU TO HATE THEM TOO!

That is not loyalty. That is manipulation dressed in the clothes of friendship.

1. PROVERBS 18:17 — HEAR BOTH SIDES BEFORE YOU JUDGE.

“The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him.”

Do not build your judgment on one person’s testimony. You may be listening to genuine pain, a distorted account, or a story that deliberately leaves out important details.

Never allow one person’s version of events to become your final verdict against another human being.

2. MATTHEW 7:1–2 — BE CAREFUL HOW YOU JUDGE OTHERS.

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”

Before you condemn another person, examine your own heart. You cannot claim to love righteousness while participating in the unjust condemnation of someone whose circumstances you do not understand.

3. EPHESIANS 4:31–32 — REFUSE TO BECOME A VESSEL OF BITTERNESS.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger…”

Bitterness is dangerous because it rarely stays with the person who first experienced the pain. It spreads through conversations, friendships, families, and churches until innocent people begin carrying wounds they never created.

Do not become the delivery system for somebody else’s hatred!

4. ROMANS 12:18 — PURSUE PEACE WITHOUT COMPROMISING TRUTH.

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

You can love your friend without hating their enemy. You can support your family without participating in injustice. You can stand with someone who has been hurt without accepting every accusation without question.

Your loyalty to someone should never require you to abandon your integrity.

5. MATTHEW 5:44 — LOVE IS GREATER THAN HATRED.

Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.

If Christ commands you to love even your enemies, why would you allow another human being to recruit you into hating someone who has never wronged you?

DO NOT LET PEOPLE’S EXPECTATIONS OVERRIDE GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS!

6. PROVERBS 6:16–19 — GOD HATES THE SPREADING OF DISCORD.

This passage warns against false witnesses and those who stir up conflict among people.

Think about that before you forward gossip, repeat accusations, or deliberately turn people against one another.

Your words can destroy friendships, separate families, divide churches, and damage reputations.

BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH, ASK YOURSELF: AM I HELPING TO ESTABLISH THE TRUTH, OR AM I HELPING TO DESTROY SOMEONE’S LIFE?

7. JAMES 1:19 — BE QUICK TO LISTEN AND SLOW TO SPEAK.

Scripture instructs us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

Not every story requires your immediate judgment. Not every disagreement requires you to choose a side. Not every accusation deserves to become your personal conviction.

Sometimes, spiritual maturity means remaining quiet until you understand the truth.

8. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:6 — LOVE DOES NOT CELEBRATE INJUSTICE.

Love does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

Real love does not need an innocent person to be destroyed so that another person can feel supported.

IF YOUR LOYALTY REQUIRES YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN INJUSTICE, IT IS TIME TO EXAMINE THE FOUNDATION OF THAT LOYALTY.

THE HARD-HITTING TRUTH YOU MUST NEVER FORGET

You can love someone without hating the people they hate.

You can support someone without endorsing every accusation they make.

You can listen to someone’s pain without becoming a prisoner of their bitterness.

You can hold people accountable for genuine wrongdoing without allowing hatred to control your heart.

And you can refuse to participate in somebody else’s conflict without becoming a traitor.

YOUR HEART IS NOT A DUMPING GROUND FOR OTHER PEOPLE’S BITTERNESS. YOUR MIND IS NOT A PUPPET FOR OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS. AND YOUR LIFE IS NOT A BATTLEFIELD FOR WARS YOU DID NOT START!

One day, you may discover that the person you hated was never your enemy. You may discover that you judged them without evidence, wounded them without cause, and rejected them without ever knowing their heart.

What will you say when the truth finally exposes your mistake?

Will you have the humility to admit that you were wrong?

Or will pride force you to defend a hatred you never should have embraced?

NEVER CONFUSE BLIND LOYALTY WITH LOVE. NEVER CONFUSE GOSSIP WITH TRUTH. AND NEVER CONFUSE SOMEONE ELSE’S ENEMY WITH YOUR OWN.

MY  DECLARATION:

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I declare that your heart will not become a breeding ground for hatred, your mouth will not become an instrument of gossip, and your judgment will not be controlled by manipulation.

May God grant you wisdom to discern truth from deception, courage to stand for righteousness, and humility to correct yourself when you are wrong.

May you never destroy a genuine relationship because of rumours. May you never condemn an innocent person to prove your loyalty to another. May your character remain stronger than the pressure to join the crowd.

I DECLARE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE A WEAPON IN SOMEBODY ELSE’S WAR!

You will pursue truth. You will practice discernment. You will protect the vulnerable. You will demand accountability where necessary. And you will refuse to participate in hatred simply because others expect you to.

WAKE-UP CALL

Before you hate someone, investigate the truth.

Before you judge someone, listen carefully.

Before you repeat an accusation, consider the damage your words may cause.

Before you join somebody’s war, examine your motives.

And before you allow another person’s bitterness into your heart, remember what God commands concerning love, truth, and peace.

NEVER LET ANYONE BORROW YOUR MOUTH TO SPREAD HATRED, YOUR HEART TO HARBOUR BITTERNESS, OR YOUR LIFE TO FIGHT BATTLES THAT DO NOT BELONG TO YOU!

May God give us hearts full of love, minds governed by wisdom, eyes opened to truth, and the courage to stand for what is right—even when the crowd chooses otherwise.

SOMEBODY NEEDS TO BREAK FREE FROM BORROWED HATRED!
