Sometimes, the highest call will hold you still. You’ll wonder what’s going on. It may feel as though nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, is working.
But here’s a truth you must not forget;
Don’t measure this season by how quickly YOU GET OUT; you measure it by how deeply you let Him work WHILE YOU’RE HERE!
***”You prayed for purpose…and woke up in a prison.”
The freedom you imagined is gone, replaced with boundaries, restrictions, and holy limitations you didn’t choose. Before God trusts you with open doors, He will lock you in rooms where only His hand can turn the key.
This IS NOT punishment, it’s protection.
What if the cage is saving you from destroying yourself before you even begin?
***You thought calling meant movement without measure. Instead, it feels like Heaven clipped your wings.
Conversations you CAN’T HAVE!
Places you CAN’T GO!
Relationships you CAN’T KEEP!
It feels confining…until you realize the same walls keeping you in are keeping the enemy out. What if the boundaries you hate are the barriers that preserve your life and future?
***Purpose often comes wrapped in loneliness. You’re surrounded by voices that love you but can’t carry what you carry. God allows this so you learn to lean on His voice over the crowds.
Because people who don’t understand your process will always misinterpret your pace. What if isolation isn’t evidence you’ve been abandoned, but proof you’ve been insulated?
***Your mind says, “go.” God says, “Wait! “
This tension feels unbearable when vision burns, but doors won’t budge. Yet the same God who gave you the dream is the One guarding its timing.
Frustration is often Heaven’s way of keeping you from mishandling what YOU’RE NOT mature enough to manage yet. What if the delay is the very thing keeping the dream alive?
***Prison seasons are not pauses; they’re preparation.
Joseph’s cell was the classroom that taught him how to handle Pharaoh’s palace. God isn’t just keeping you from the wrong place; He’s shaping you for the right place.
Every day in the cage is a day preparing you into the man/woman who can survive the weight of the promise. What if the cage is molding the crown?
***Calling is narrowing.
It will strip you of the illusion that you can be ” anything you want. ” You can’t say yes to every invite. You can’t chase every opportunity.
The higher the assignment, the narrower the road. God’s ” no ” IS NOT rejection; it’s redirection. What if fewer options are greater protection?
***Confined spaces create concentrated power.
Like steam sealed in a chamber.
Like wine sealed in a barrel.
The longer it stays, the richer it becomes. The pressure you feel IS NOT to punish; it’s to purify. What if the pressure is the prophecy of the power you’ll carry?
***One day, without warning, the lock will click.
And you’ll step out different than you stepped in.
Lighter.
Sharper.
Stronger.
Others will call it an ” overnight ” shift, but you’ll know it was months/years in the making. What if your release will be so sudden it makes the cage feel worth it?
***So if your calling feels like a cage, don’t curse it.
If your calling feels confining, it’s because God is still completing the work in you. He’s not keeping you from your future; He’s making sure your future can keep you.
The measure of this season ISN’T in how quickly you get out, but in how deeply you let Him shape you while you’re here. When the work is finished, release won’t be a relief…..
It will carry a responsibility you’re ready to carry.
God will narrow your path before He increases your influence. He will strip away distractions before He trusts you with weight. When the time comes, you won’t just walk into what’s next…..you’ll walk in and be able to manage it effectively!
